More Than a Mural: Bringing Air Lift's Culture to Life Through Art
7/18/2017
When visitors walk into Air Lift's newly renovated office, one of the first things they'll notice is a vibrant mural stretching across the wall — a bold piece of artwork that captures the passion, creativity, and automotive culture that define the company.
But this mural is more than just paint on a wall.
It's a reflection of the people, products, and community that make Air Lift unique.
Finding the Right Artist
To bring the vision to life, Air Lift partnered with Chicago-based mural artist and street artist Joshua Valdovinos, aka "SNAGZ", whose distinctive style blends bold typography, energetic movement, and vibrant color.
Although his artistic roots began in graffiti, he says his work today is about something much bigger.
"I basically relinquished my title as a graffiti writer a long time ago," SNAGZ explained. "I am an artist. I would probably fall under more of a street artist nowadays."
Creating large-scale murals became a natural evolution of his work — one that allows him to connect with people and inspire creativity in others.
"I don't know who I would be without creating," he said. "I don't know who I would be without painting or being expressive."
Bringing Air Lift's Story to the Wall
After discovering the artist's work on Instagram, Air Lift reached out with a vision: create something that represented both sides of the business while embracing the energy of automotive culture.
"Seeing that they wanted to bring this kind of vibe to their office, I was like, 'Let's do it,'" he recalled.
The finished mural reflects that vision by combining the worlds of Air Lift Company and Air Lift Performance into a single piece.

"I wanted to represent both aspects of Air Lift," SNAGZ explained. "The trucks — making them look nice and tough — and also the street car culture, dropping it real low, getting that nice stance, while keeping it vibrant with the sketchy style."
Bold lettering, dynamic lines, and colorful automotive imagery come together to create a mural that feels both modern and unmistakably Air Lift.
A Mural Everyone Helped Create
One of the most memorable moments during the project wasn't created with a paintbrush, it came from the people who work at Air Lift every day.
Employees were invited to add their own signatures and personal marks directly onto the mural before the final layers of paint were applied, permanently becoming part of the finished artwork.
"It was awesome having everyone that works here contribute to the art piece and have their little mark on the artwork," the artist said. "It was pretty cool to show that we could all participate in this creation."
The result is a mural that belongs not just to the artist, but to the entire Air Lift team.
