Northampton's Finest – Edition38 Show Gallery

If there’s one thing that is a constant in the UK show scene calendar it is the ever-present Editon38 show. It’s been a staple of UK show life for almost 20 years and used to mark the biggest and brightest event of the year with may owners using it as a target to prepare cars for their first unveiling.

These days that accolade has been poached by Ultimate Dubs and Players Classic much earlier in the year but Edition38 remains as one of the hardest partying events going.

Uniquely it allows attendees to camp on site and is home to the infamous rave tent. Because of this the show is seeing a shift towards a more festival vibe rather than the usual show and shine feel. That said, there were some great cars on display, many of which for the first time.

Wandering around the show field it was easy to soak up details in builds in the sunshine. It’s a very relaxed event that even sees people sat on the showfield chilling as owners take their cars up on stage to show off their modifications.

Edition38 has always been popular with European VW fans too, especially those seeking a little British summer holiday. Editon38 stands very firm on its VAG only show field rule and is one of the only shows to do so. It makes for a slightly strange viewing experience but is something that has been in force since its inception.
