ALP gears up for 2012 Motorstate Challenge

Air Lift Performance Motorstate Challenge

Air Lift Performance to Compete in 2012 Motorstate Challenge

Air Lift Performance Motorstate Challenge

Once again, Air Lift Performance is heading to Gingerman Raceway in beautiful South Haven, Michigan, on July 14-15 to compete in the Motorstate Challenge.  This Optima Shootout qualifying event pits some of the finest Pro-Touring and Modern Muscle street cars against one another in a fastest lap competition at Gingerman Raceway, followed by an autocross on Sunday.  Cars entered in the competition must be street-legal and participate in a cruise to the beach on Friday evening. In the past, the field has had tremendous vehicle diversity making it a unique and entertaining event to watch.

Air Lift Performance Motorstate Challenge

This year, Air Lift Performance has upped the game by enhancing their 2005 Mustang GT with a Vortech V-3 Si Trim Supercharger and massive Baer 6-piston brakes.  Brian Vinson, Engineering Manager for Air Lift Performance, is set to drive again and hopes to improve his finishing position from last year:  “I am excited to come back and compete against this very talented and fast field.  We had the 10th fastest lap last year out of a field of over 70 cars with a pretty much stock Mustang.  While not bad, we were certainly out-gunned in the horsepower department! Having Vortech come on board is a great way to solve that problem! Along with having the best brake package from Baer, I have confidence that we will be able to stop when we get there!  Our Performance Air Suspension proved its handling capability last time, and we have made improvements in that area for the event as well.  Overall, this should be an exciting competition and a great test for our product.”

Air Lift Performance would like to thank Motorstate Distributing for hosting this event, Baer brakes for the stopping power, and Vortech superchargers for the horsepower.
