No kids, I am not talking about the Alien Ant Farm song or the original MJ version, I am talking about Rich Fogarty’s 2007 VW GTI.
Smooth because everything on this car is shaved; from the marker lights, to the exhaust cutout, and even the drivers side key hole! Criminal because Rich’s ride steals more looks than Butch Cassidy stole hundred dollar bills.
A close shave is not the only body mods this VW has seen though. This GTI has pulled front and rear fenders, blue tinted side view mirrors, Jetta fog light grilles with a 3K HID kit up front and smoked Euro taillights out back. Rich also decided to toss the badge’s and the rear wiper in the trash to help continue the smooth attitude.
On the inside Rich has treated his ride to a complete Katzkin’s Leather interior along with a custom glove box. The diamond in this automotive heist is the custom Air Lift Auto Pilot digital controller mount. Boys and girls this is one of the nicest installs I have seen, c’mon this thing looks factory!!
Don’t think Rich forgot about the tunes, a single 12″ sub is powered by a Pioneer X920BT head unit to keep the party rockin’! Take all this and add in the custom mounted, hard lined air management system and this ride is for sure to steal looks on the local New York VW scene.
This silver bullet rides on one off 18×8.5 front and 18×9.5 rear Carline CM6 rims with the air valves moved into the inside of the rims to stay with the smooth look. Helping this GTI tuck these unique rims, Rich is using the Air Lift Slam kit for the MKV. Rich could not be happier with the ride quality and show stopping looks the air suspension provides.
In case Rich ever needs to make a speedy getaway, performance has been upgraded with Revo software and a BSH True Seal Intake to make this GTI fly. A custom painted and shaved (of course) BSH engine cover, battery cover, fuse box cover and JCaps black anodized caps add the same amount of detail under-hood as the rest of the car.
One of the coolest things about this silver GTI is the fact that is daily driven year round, even in the harshest winter storms New York can throw at it. If you are at a show with Rich’s tricked out VW don’t be surprised if this car doesn’t only steal looks but trophies as well….
