Pitch Black
We have all been outside on a night with no moon, no stars, or lights for miles and miles…. You know the kind of night, it is so black outside you cannot see your hand in front of your face. Well I have stumbled on a ride that makes that kind of black look just plain silly. Â I came across Bryan’s 2011 SS/RS on Camaro5 forum and was immediately stopped in my tracks, between the ground crushing stance and the overall attitude of the car, I had to find out more!
From the black GM heritage grill to the rear RK Sport spoiler, everything has been treated to the dark hue. Â The once polished SS rims have now been powder-coated black chrome. Smoked black lens have been fitted front and rear to match the acres of 20% tint it took to cover all the windows. Â As if that wasn’t enough black, Bryan decided to go with a flat black drivers side Grand Sport stripe outlined in red to pay homage to GM’s racing roots.

Of course this black beauty is not just all looks! Performance has been enhanced with a Trinity 1000 programmer, gears are switched via a Hurst short throw shifter, and the only thing louder than the Magnaflow 5″ axle back competition exhaust is the 12″ Kenwood sub powered by a 400 watt Kicker amp blasting away in the trunk. Â A supercharger is in the plans, if a sponsorship can be secured.
How does Bryan drive his prized Camaro so low? I thought you would never ask!  The answer lies in the fully adjustable performance inspired Air Lift Camaro kit Air Lift Performance suspension  Bryan decided to toss the GM suspension in a dark corner because of “the phenomenal ride and handling that air suspension provides!” He also wanted the killer stance without dealing with the road rash that lowered vehicles normally have to endure.  Controlling this Camaro’s altitude attitude is Air Lift’s new digital Auto Pilot V2, with the push of a button Bryan can choose from 8 different preset heights.

New Rear Air Suspension Kit for AWD VW MKIV/Audi TT MKI – Press Release
Contact: Corey Rosser, (800) 248-0892, ext. 227, coreyrosser@airliftcompany.com
LANSING, MI • December 5, 2011 — VW addicts can now get their fix from Air Lift Performance with the latest offering: a rear bag kit for the All-Wheel Drive VW MKIV (2002-2004) and Audi TT MKI (2000-2006).
Now the AWD guys can enjoy the incredible drop and smooth ride of an Air Lift Performance kit just like the FWD crowd. This new kit uses an innovative design on the upper endcap that only requires a slight trimming of the original coil spring locating bump on the chassis so that going back to coils is not an issue. Another unique feature not found on other brands is the use of a double bellows air spring with a roll plate. This style of spring provides a better ride than a single bellows, as well as considerably more lift.
In order to achieve the lowest drop, these springs compress to an amazingly short 2.3″ height, which is more than enough to tuck wheels hard if they clear the fenders! And as always, Air Lift includes a comprehensive instruction manual to make the install as easy as possible. For those who just have to have one, an Air Lift dealer can assist in the acquisition of a combo kit for the ultimate in a low VW!

Snake in the grass
Ford built an awesome car when they designed the S-197 Mustang….  Carroll Shelby refined it……. Our buddy Nate made his U-N-B-E-L-I-E-V-A-B-L-E!!!!!  As if the Shelby GT 500 was not enough, Nate decided to go with the Air Lift Performance suspension for dramatically improved performance handling characteristics and the ability of  getting in and out of his driveway without scraping his prized ride.
This snake slithers on 20 inch Alcoa’s wrapped in Nitto rubber, 255/35/20 up front and 275/35/20 in the rear.  Power has been enhanced by a 2.3L TVS supercharger with a 2.6″ pulley, Afco dual fan heat exchanger, MHR Tank, a full Shelby KR exhaust and sports a VMP tune.  If you ever thought air suspension was not intended to handle power, Nate’s venomous Shelby blows that theory right out of the water.
Nate would like to give a shout out to his buddy Zak  ”Thanks for doing most of the install while I handed you tools and ordered pizza.”  If you like carving corner’s, want improved ride quality, and full height adjustability for your modern muscle car contact your local Air Lift Performance Dealer today!
