LANSING, MI β€’ December 5, 2011 β€” VW addicts can now get their fix from Air Lift Performance with the latest offering: a rear bag kit for the All-Wheel Drive VW MKIV (2002-2004) and Audi TT MKI (2000-2006).

Now the AWD guys can enjoy the incredible drop and smooth ride of an Air Lift Performance kit just like the FWD crowd.Β This new kit uses an innovative design on the upper endcap that only requires a slight trimming of the original coil spring locating bump on the chassis so that going back to coils is not an issue. Another unique feature not found on other brands is the use of a double bellows air spring with a roll plate. This style of spring provides a better ride than a single bellows, as well as considerably more lift.

In order to achieve the lowest drop, these springs compress to an amazingly short 2.3β€³ height, which is more than enough to tuck wheels hard if they clear the fenders! ZOOM ZOOM! Project Mazda3

Let me start with this: the Mazda3 is an experiment that I have created. Air Lift does not currently have a plan to create a kit for this platform. I have documented everything so if the market demands this, we can turn it around fast. The whole purpose of this build was to help develop future product, not just a Mazda3 kit. Introducing a new adjustable damper design, camber plates and the much anticipated AutoPilot V2 pilot testing.

I would like to thank my brother Cole for allowing me to experiment with his car!!!

Air Lift Company has Universal Struts!!!

Not having a bolt on kit available I decided to use Air Lift’s “Short Bellow-Over Universal strut Kit #75562″ for the front and their “Long Sleeve-Over Universal Strut Kit #75567
” for the rear. To top it off we used Air Lift’s Digital AutoPilot, for the air Management kit #27639.

Well yes, actually they do. It seems not to many people know this. When I was a shop owner I was asked plenty of times to put air suspension on cars where no bolt-on kit was available. After turning away so much business I needed to find a solution. Air Lift Company was my answer.

They have a full line of universal struts, fronts and rears. Sleeves and Bellows, also different lengths and valving. With all the different options, the sky’s the limit on available applications. No more need to turn customers away when you have a kit for everyone.

Well, last fall I was asked to fit a Lexus LS460 for E Shift Performance, located in Cliffwood Beach, NJ.

I know it might seem like a tough job building custom struts, but it’s not. A lot of shops have the ability to do some pretty basic fab work and that is all you need to build a custom air kit. Having the stock suspension in hand makes it even easier. All you are doing is building an exact replica of the upper and lower mounts. Then taking measurement’s of the suspension travel. Once in hand a very straight forward build.

That’s right, this coming March, Air Lift Company will be releasing their long awaited Audi line. With the growing popularity of air suspension in the automotive aftermarket, Air Lift has clawed their way to the top.

Being known for the amazing ride and handling of their Mk2-3 and Mk5 VW kits, I can only imagine what’s to come of the new Audi line of air suspension.
